Folk Orchestra

Choir Begins Again, Wednesday, August 6

Welcome to new, returning, and prospective Choir Members.  We will begin rehearsals on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 6:30 in the Choir Room.  This will allow 2 rehearsals before Ingathering.  We will be singing at the Ingathering and Water Communion Service on Sunday, Aug. 17^th.  There will also be a chalice lighting song and an interlude after Joys and Sorrows.

The start of the season is a good time to join choir.  We welcome new voices on all parts.

Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

We rehearse weekly and plan to perform approximately twice a month, depending on circumstances.  The music we sing ranges from traditional to contemporary, and includes music from other faith traditions as well.  The living tradition we share draws from many sources, which are listed in the front of the hymnal along with our Principles.

We are very pleased that our accomplished pianist, Suellen Kipp, will continue to work with us.

UUMN Annual Conference 

Director of Music Anne Littlefield will be attending the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network Conference in Boston and will be gone Aug. 1-10.  This includes a visit with sister Camilla Cai in Farmington, MA right before the conference begins.

UU Folk Orchestra

In September, I will put out a call for Folk Orchestra members to sign up for our annual December Christmas Service.  More information will follow later.
